Care Homes

"Can I arrange a meeting to learn more about your services for our care home and to have a demonstration of your MDS system?"

YES. We are more than happy to arrange to visit you and discuss our service offering in more detail. Alternatively, why not come and see us at one of our pharmacies so you can see the process in action first hand. Our contact details are listed at the back of this brochure.


"What choice of MDS systems can you offer our Care Home?"

We offer a wide variety of monitored dose systems from unit dose to multi-dose systems. We will discuss with you to ascertain which system you are comfortable with. Further information about the systems offered can be found in this brochure.

"Do you offer training and support for Care Home staff?"

YES. We have developed a training and support package tailored to meet the needs of Care Home staff, which is delivered by our qualified pharmacists. We can even offer therapy specific training e.g. diabetic care.


"Will a pharmacist visit our Care Home to conduct an annual visit?"

YES. Our qualified pharmacist will conduct this visit. S/he can is also qualified AND accredited to offer your residents an annual review of their medicines to ensure they [or your staff] are not experiencing any problems in taking/administering them.

"How can you help us with urgent prescriptions?"

All our pharmacies have state of the art communication systems in place and so can receive, clinically check, dispense and deliver the urgent prescription to your home within a pre-agreed timeframe.


"Do you offer a FREE daily delivery service?"

YES. We have dedicated delivery drivers and vans who will collect your residents' prescriptions from the surgery or your Care Home and once dispensed deliver the medicines safely and securely to you.

"Do you charge for your service to Care Homes?"

NO. Our services to your Care Home as detailed in this brochure are offered free of charge.


"How can you help our home satisfy the requirements of Sci?"

Our commitment begins with a Service Level Agreement [SLA], which is a requirement to have in place. During our annual visits, we will discuss and work closely with you to ensure your requirements regarding supply and administration of medicines meet the appropriate requirements.

"Can you collect and dispose of our waste medicines from our Nursing Home?"

YES. Our pharmacies are registered with the environment care agency to collect and dispose of waster in a safe manner.


"Can you supply a medicines trolley and fridge?"

YES. Once you have decided upon which MDS you wish to use, we can ensure you have the appropriate training and peripheral items e.g. trolley & fridge in place.

Community Patients

"Can you look after my repeat prescriptions and offer me a FREE delivery service?"

YES. All you need to do is let us know [by phone or in person] that you are about to run out of your medicine(s) and we will take your repeat to the surgery, collect your prescription and deliver it to your home, all at NO charge to you.


"My mother lives alone and takes several tablets. She has difficulty remembering which one to take and when and often runs out of her tablets. Can you help?"

Our pharmacy teams have a wealth of experience in helping people just like you and your mother. Our qualified AND accredited pharmacist will review her medicine use and recommend the right course of action that will help her take her medicines more efficiently and effectively. Where required, they will suggest one of a range of compliance aids that is appropriate to her needs and our sophisticated computerised patient medication records systems mean that we can effectively manage re-ordering her repeat prescriptions so she will never run out of her medicines.

"We are a domestic care agency and have many elderly patients who need medicines support. How can you help us?"

We endeavour to work very closely with all domestic care agencies and their staff. Our expertise is providing medicines support direct to patients in conjunction with carers and care agency staff. We offer a range of monitored dose systems, training for your staff to assist in managing and administering medicines. Our dedicated delivery service means that we can manage the whole process for repeat medication, from ordering to dispensing to delivering it to the patient's home.


"I am 82 years old and find it difficult to manage my medicines. How can you help me?"

Our qualified AND accredited pharmacist can review your medicines to ascertain what problems you are experiencing, then recommend the right support that we can provide to meet your needs.

We offer a complete package of support to you and your relative to ensure that the whole process from ordering repeat medication to taking them is fully managed. We offer FREE delivery and can dispense the medicines in an appropriate device that will help you to safely administer your relatives medicines.


"Do you charge for your Managed Care Service?"

NO. Our Managed Care Service forms part of our minimum standard service offering. Therefore, we provide all the elements of it at no extra cost to the patient and/or carer.
